Me Too: Marcia Singer’s Story

The volcanic eruption of the Me Too Movement has occurred as women finally are finding their individual and collective voices and speaking out and saying ENOUGH to sexual assault and harassment especially, but not limited to the workplace.

Women are finally speaking out publicly, putting a spotlight on years of a good ol’ boys network and a cultural complicity that has looked the other way.  For too long, women have been subjected to inappropriate sexual harassment and  behaviors that demean, intimidate, threaten and compromise the integrity of their very being.

More and more women are feeling empowered, finally exiting this culturally ignored closet of secrecy and shame.   And while lots more work needs to be done, work places, college campuses, even the Olympics are under advisement that we will not be silent any longer…….

My guest on Wise Woman Storytime this past week was tantric and shamanic healer Marcia Singer. Marcia is a long time member of Me Too – there even before the movement got its name.  A victim of sexual traumas, she knows the hellish confines of its claws and has used  self-compassion, kindness  and forgiveness as stepping stones to climb out of the abyss she was stuck in –  to link her to the greater humanity and through her own healing, live a life  touched by  grace, gratitude and love.

I invite you to listen to this important story. Please be advised that this may not be appropriate for everyone,  Listener discretion advised.
